This unit holds 1,325 pounds of ice, and ice deposited first is dispensed first to ensure it doesn't melt over time. To help users retrieve ice, the heavy-duty door stays open, preventing it from falling on the user and causing injury. It has an ice shield to reduce spillage and control the flow.
