Constructed of stainless steel, the True TWT-44F-HC~SPEC1 Spec Series® worktop freezer is durable and, because the top and backsplash are formed together, there are no seams to trap food particles. Polyurethane insulation retains cold air inside the unit and, with its high-capacity refrigeration system, stored products stay at a constant -10 degrees Fahrenheit. It has 5-inch stem castors and a 36-inch work surface height that matches standard countertops. The capillary tube system is environmentally friendly, using R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential. Electronically commutated evaporator and condenser fan motors move air consistently with minimal heat production and energy use. The evaporator is epoxy coated and the condenser is located behind the front grille for convenient access. The temperature of this freezer is controlled using a digital display and the automatic defrost system is time initiated and time terminated.
To maintain a clean condensing coil for better performance, the condensing fan motor reverses for 20 seconds after the compressor cycles on. This mechanism eliminates buildup, such as dirt and dust, so the coil can keep foods cool with less energy usage; it can also help lengthen the unit’s overall lifespan. Though this technology is effective, it works best when it’s coupled with preventive maintenance practices.
The countertop front of the True TWT-44F-HC~SPEC1 worktop freezer is flush with the front of the positive-seal door. The lockable door swings within the cabinet dimensions and includes an all-metal handle. Gaskets are magnetic and made of a single piece for expedited disassembly and cleaning. The two shelves are made of PVC-coated wire and are adjustable in 1⁄2-inch increments. Each shelf comes with four chrome-plated clips for stability.
